Bella the Tower Bridge Cat
Bella lives with the Bridge Master on Tower Bridge and does lots of jobs for him. Bella is a very clever cat, you could call her the secret brains at Tower Bridge! Bella loves children enjoying her books.
The Bridge Master
The Bridge Master is a very important person at Tower Bridge. He has the job of making sure the bascules lift whenever ships need to come through the Bridge. He wears a special hat and always looks very smart. Bella is his best friend.
Hannah the Cook
Hannah is quick-witted and cheery, and is proud to be named after one of the first women to work on Tower Bridge, who was also a cook. The original Hannah’s granddaughter gave special permission to use her Gran’s name.
Stan the Stoker
Stan works in the Engine Rooms at Tower Bridge. He has to ensure the boilers are full of coal – they need 20 tonnes per week! No wonder he has muscles like cannonballs!
Eddy the Engineer
Eddy and his twin brother Olly look after the twin pumping engines at Tower Bridge. Eddy is a brilliant engineer and can mend anything!
Olly the Oiler
Olly’s job is to make sure the Tower Bridge engines have enough oil to keep them going all day long. Olly loves to play music – and to play jokes on his brother!
Babs the Bus Driver
Babs is a very brave person. She has been driving buses for a long time – but has only ever jumped over a bridge once!
Maya the Flyer
Maya is a famous pilot who flies all over the world. When she’s in her plane, no trick is too daring - especially with Bella as her co-pilot!
Poppy the Painter
Poppy the Painter is the team’s new member and has to apply the 22,000 litres of paint it takes to cover Tower Bridge. That’s enough to fill 150,000 cups of tea!
The Book Team
Tee Dobinson, Author
Tee is an award-winning author, speaker and kindness advocate. Tee has written six books and is the editor of many educational guides. Like Bella, Tee likes to help people and enjoys doing this through her writing and training. Tee was a sponsored Nike Fitness Athlete for eight years.
Steve Cox, Illustrator
Multi-award-winning artist Steve has been illustrating children’s books for many years. He particularly loves creating characters and environments which bring stories to life and draw children into a unique other-world through books and animation.
Johnny Morris, Designer
Johnny was the original art director of the Tower Bridge Cat books. He designed for all sorts of publications from children’s educational books to glossy magazines, and was very fond of the River Thames and its many bridges.
Ben Morris, Designer
Ben, a graphic designer and video editor, is proud to honour his father’s legacy as the new art director for the series. His first Baizdon project was The Tower Bridge Cat & The Missing Button, and he is excited to work on more of Bella’s adventures.
Steph Norris, Editoral Assistant
Steph helps with everything to do with Bella, from book development and content creation to distribution and marketing . She is never without a book in her hands and hopes to build a career in publishing.
